Stephen Buchanan-Clarke is a security and development specialist with extensive experience in research and policy development across Africa. As Head of the Peace and Security Programme at Good Governance Africa (GGA), he currently leads multi-country research initiatives on natural resource governance, transnational security threats, and regional integration. Stephen has worked with diverse international partners and managed complex multi-country research, policy engagement, and capacity building projects in over a dozen African countries. He regularly provides strategic advisory services to government ministries, private sector actors, and international organiszations on a range of security and development issues, and has published extensively across academic and policy platforms.
