Rose Longhurst has worked in philanthropy for over two decades, leading experimentation with participatory grant making practices and focused on systemic democratic innovations, community organising, and grassroots activism. She was previously Unit Manager for Democratic Renewal at the Open Society Foundation’s Europe and Central Asia Programme, leading the work on democratic innovation. Prior to this she helped to set up FundAction and The Edge Fund, and worked with the EDGE Funders Alliance. She is a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity at the London School of Economics and Co-Chairs the Board of Global Greengrants Fund.
