Deborah Botwood Smith has held board, CEO and leadership roles in global financial companies and has a track record in building value and engagement. She is currently Business Development Director at Invest Europe, the group that represents Europe’s providers of private capital. She has particular expertise in corporate reputation and governance issues, corporate culture, thought leadership and crisis management. She has also worked in public policy and advocacy with a UK civil society group.
Deborah has an MA in law from Cambridge University with an interest in constitutional law and human rights. She is Co-Chair of the global disability justice charity Action on Disability. She has been aboard member and trustee of The Photographers’ Gallery London, a board member of Andan, the Swiss non-profit foundation leading private sector initiatives to develop sustainable solutions for refugees, a trustee of The Global Media Campaign to end FGM and a trustee of Women & Children First.
